About Boarding Procedures

How should I go about boarding procedures?

●Passenger
For passenger boarding procedures, please fill in the reservation number and other necessary information on the "boarding application" provided at each port counter, submit it to the counter, and pay the fare etc. (*For boarding applications purchased at travel agencies etc. (Customers with vouchers must also follow the same procedure.)
・If you do not have any checked baggage or special baggage, please complete boarding procedures at least 30 minutes before departure from each port.
・As a general rule, boarding procedures close 15 minutes before departure. If you are late, you may not be able to board your reserved flight.
 Additionally, the counter may be crowded during busy periods, so please arrive with plenty of time to spare.

●Manned vehicle
・For car transportation procedures, if departing from Kagoshima, close at least 2 hours before departure for Amami Islands and 2 hours and 30 minutes before departure for Okinawa Island.
 (*Please note that this does not apply from late March to early April.) For departures from other ports, at least 3 hour before departure.
 Failure to do so will be considered a cancellation of your reservation.
・Vehicle inspection certificate must be presented at the time of car transportation procedure. In addition, if the cargo exceeds the length of the vehicle, freight charges etc. will be calculated based on the actual length.

●Checked/special baggage, pet room
・Procedures will be completed after boarding procedures at the embarkation port, and payment is limited to cash only.
・Customers using the "Checked/Special Baggage/Pet Room" are allowed to use the "Checked Baggage/Special Baggage/Pet Room" until 1 hour before departure from Kagoshima.
 At other ports, please complete your own boarding procedures at least 30 minutes before departure.
・The boarding and car transportation procedures at Kagoshima New Port are on the 3rd floor of the Amami/Okinawa Ferry Terminal.
