Car freight charges

Car shipping charges vary depending on the area and the size of the vehicle. For more information, please check the car shipping fare table for your port of departure. The driver (1 person) can use her 2nd class (Japanese style room).
Car transportation may not be possible if you do not have a reservation.

About vehicle classification

Freight vehicles and passenger vehicles are classified by license plate. Please refer to "How to read car license plates" below.

Precautions

◆When making a reservation for car transportation, please provide the following information: vehicle length, vehicle height, vehicle type (freight vehicle/passenger vehicle), presence or absence of hazardous materials, etc.

◆If departing from Kagoshima, car transportation procedures must be completed 30 hours before departure for Amami/Tokunoshima, and XNUMX hours and XNUMX minutes before departure for Okinoerabu/Yoron/Okinawa Island (*From late March to early April, regardless of destination) (XNUMX hours before departure), or for departures from other ports, please note that if you do not do this at least XNUMX hour before departure, your reservation will be considered cancelled.

◆When completing car transportation procedures, you must present your vehicle inspection certificate. If the cargo exceeds the length of the vehicle, freight charges will be charged based on the actual length.

◆Applicable to round trips within 14 days between Kagoshima ⇔ Amami Islands/Okinawa Main Island and Amami Islands ⇔ Okinawa Main Island within the same section, and 1% off the return fare (*driver's fee, Discounts are not applied to class differences, vehicle width surcharges, and fuel oil price fluctuation adjustment fees.) However, this will only apply if you can confirm your return reservation at the time of outbound procedures and pay the round-trip car transportation fare, etc. at the time of outbound procedures (*within 14 days: starting from the outbound boarding date).

◆In the case of unmanned vehicle transportation, loading charges, unloading charges, etc. will be added separately. For more information, please contact the shipping agent at your port of embarkation.

◆Refunds for car transportation tickets, etc. will be handled in the same way as boarding tickets, etc.

◆For special vehicles such as heavy machinery, please contact us separately.

◆In the case of a low-floor vehicle (*vehicle with a low minimum ground clearance), you will be required to submit a consent form, so please let us know at the time of reservation. If the minimum ground clearance is extremely low, we may refuse your reservation regardless of whether you have a reservation or not.

◆For vehicles equipped with a security alarm, if there is strong shaking due to the effects of stormy weather, the shock detection system may activate and malfunction, so please check in advance how to turn off the security alarm. Please come on board.
