Charges for checked/special baggage and pet room usage vary depending on the type and sector. Please check the price list below for details.
Precautions for use
Each person is allowed to carry two pieces of baggage (personal items) on board (weighing less than 1kg and total length of three sides less than 2m).
Procedures and payment will be accepted in cash after boarding procedures at the embarkation port. At Kagoshima New Port, the service is open until 1 hour before departure, and at other ports until 30 minutes before departure.
About checked baggage (Aikan)
The maximum number of checked baggage items per person is 1 pieces (*The total length of the three sides is 2m or less, and the total weight is 3kg or less) (*However, if the Company deems that there is no problem, (We may accept applications for more than two items.)
*Platinum, gold and other precious metals, coins, bank notes, securities, stamps, jewelry, works of art, antiques, and other expensive items (precision instruments such as cameras and telescopes) are not allowed in checked baggage. I can't accept it.
*Items that are incompletely packed, easily damaged, emit odors, unclean, or other items that may cause inconvenience to passengers may not be accepted as checked baggage.
About special baggage
One piece of special baggage is allowed per passenger (*excluding children and infants), and drivers of manned vehicles cannot process special baggage.
Reservations are required for special baggage (motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, electric scooters, etc.).
When making a reservation, please let us know information such as the model of your vehicle, engine displacement, and whether or not it has a license plate number.
Bicycle etc.
Foldable bicycles that are placed in a bicycle bag or similar are treated as "personal items" and are free of charge.
*Folding bicycles that are only folded will be treated as checked baggage and will require a checked baggage fee. If the bag is not folded, it will be treated as special baggage and special baggage fare will be charged.

・For motorized bicycles (municipal number)...Special baggage fares will be applied.
・Except for the above...Car shipping charges (passenger cars less than 3m) will be applied.
The details about electric scooters are as follows:
・No vehicle number plate: Checked baggage charges will apply. (Battery data sheet must be submitted)
・Vehicle with license plate number: Motorbike fares apply. (No need to submit battery data sheet)
*For motorcycles equipped with security alarms, if there is strong shaking due to the effects of stormy weather, the shock detection system may activate and malfunction, so please check in advance how to turn off the security alarm. Please come on board.
Notes about pets
◆If you wish to leave your pet (cat, small dog, small bird, etc.), please prepare a basket or cage by yourself. Pets without a basket or cage will not be accepted. (The size of the basket or cage must be within 2m of the sum of the three sides.)
◆Items cannot be brought into the cabin regardless of class. However, assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities (guide dogs, service dogs, hearing dogs) are excluded.
◆Customers are responsible for disposing of pet waste and urine.
◆Pets will be charged a pet room usage fee in addition to the customer's fare.
*The temperature of the pet room cannot be adjusted (the temperature is about the same as the public space).
*During the procedure, you will need to fill out and submit a pledge.
◆We are not responsible for the life or death of your pet.
◆Anything other than small pets will be treated as cargo, so please contact our shipping agent at the port of embarkation for details.
About pet room usage fee (per basket)
Sections between Kagoshima and each remote island: 1,570 yen, sections between remote islands: 1,050 yen
